How to use this website

Who we are 

Waste Planning Merseyside is the website for the production of the Joint Merseyside Waste Development Plan Document (Waste DPD). Merseyside Environmental Advisory Service (Merseyside EAS) is co-ordinating the production of the Waste DPD on behalf of the six Merseyside Districts of Halton, Liverpool, Knowlsey, St Helens, Sefton and Wirral.

Merseyside EAS is responsible for the management of this website and co-ordination of consultation and communication methods. The information on this website is intended to be helpful and informative as well as assisting the people and organisations of Merseyside, Halton and the wider area get involved with plan production in their sub region.  

This website also provides the key links for consultation during public consultation periods where representations can be made online. 

We are committed to providing up to date information regarding the ongoing production and consultation of the Waste DPD. Our philosophy is to provide this information in an easily accessible and transparent way to encourage participation in the development of the plan. 

We make every effort to include accurate and up to date information on our web pages. From time to time our comprehensive checking of information may lead to delay in posting information and/or reports on the website. Please understand that these checks are necessary and once the information has been checked and verified they will be posted on the website.

What information do we collect? 

We collect different kinds of information or data that you may volunteer while using our website. They are: 

1.     Feedback, including comments and questions.

NB: In sending an email or making telephone contact requesting information or help, we many need to contact another organisation or office to help you. We do not pass on any of your personal information when dealing with your enquiry unless you have given us permission to do so.  

2.   E-Consultation Representations

During Public Consultation, the website has the added functionality of being a hub for e-consultation, i.e. enabling Consultees to view and comment on reports online and in a secure environment. We assure you that all information is securely stored and it is used solely as a means of measuring public opinion on reports and documents. Comments which you make in response to a formal consultation are attributable to you in subsequent reports. We do not accept anonymous comments.
